Where have you heard of in stock?
If you have ever traded gold and silver, you will know that each commodity has a in stock price. For example, the in stock price of gold in the UK is the price at which you can buy and receive gold immediately.
Similarly, the spot rate for foreign exchange in stock refers to the cost of buying and receiving a foreign currency. You will see spot rates at any airport currency exchange point.
The in stock information you need to know...
In stock markets are also called "physical markets" or "cash markets" because transactions and exchanges of goods occur instantaneously.
One of the most well-known in stock markets is the foreign exchange market, where currencies change hands instantly at the spot rate.
The opposite of the in stock market is the futures market, where transactions are settled at a later date based on forward prices.
